More than ever universities are acknowledging the need for further ‘knowledge exchange’. This means that academics are encouraged to engage with the wider world (e.g. private businesses) and to show evidence of how they contribute to sorting out real life issues.
With LCT, knowledge exchange is not only about academics putting themselves at the service of tourism businesses, but also about learning from what tourism professionals do at work on a day-to-day basis.
LCT supports researchers and tourism professionals who want to exchange knowledge about working in multilingual environments and communicating across languages. We believe that it is key to a successful understanding of communication in tourism and of the training needs in this area.
